Though the Transient Oniwaka hails from the same world as Yoritomo, he knows next to nothing about him. Not his history, not the purpose of his position as World Representative, not even the meaning of the Oni, or ogre, in his youthful name. There is one key detail about him that he does know: Yoritomo is his lord’s older brother. Not doubting the man’s words for a second, he looks after him, careful not to breach any rules of etiquette or cause anger. Normally, under the System back home, their relationship, with one reaching across the aisle to the other, would have been unheard of, and Yoritomo knows this well. While allowing his shoulders to be massaged in a clear bid to curry favor, his mind wanders to impossible possibilities. He is enjoying the light summer breeze caressing his cheek, and awaits the return of the individual who brought them together.

「オニワカ君、小生のきょうだいがいつも世話になっている……これからもよく仕えてくれ給え」

「転光生」オニワカは、同郷であるはずのヨリトモの素性をよく知らない。
「世界代行者」という立場の意味も、若きその名に「オニ」という字を持つ事の意味も。
ただひとつ、彼にとって重要なのは「己が主君の兄者」であること。
オニワカは、相手の言を疑う事も考えず、非礼のないようにとヨリトモの世話をする。
