A Transient hailing from the world of Xanadu, Avarga has found employment in Tokyo as an instructor and wrestling coach at Yoyogi Academy in Shibuya. His skills are widely respected in the city’s martial arts circles, and he maintains strong ties to other schools specializing in close-quarters combat. While he was originally human, he now shares a body with the divine bird Khangarid, as evidenced by the feathers that constantly flutter about him. The monstrous strength he possesses is extraordinary even by Xanadu standards; if legends are to be believed, he once wrestled a great dragon to the ground with his bare hands. He is well-liked by his students for his affable, roguish demeanor, but a very different and far more intimidating side comes to the fore when angered… such as by a certain teacher at Daikanyama Academy, whom he views as his mortal rival.

異世界ザナドゥ出身の「転校生」。渋谷区・依々祇学園の教職員にして、レスリング部コーチ。そしてモンゴル相撲・ブフのチャンピオン。東京の格闘技関係者の間ではその実力で知られており、他流の組技系武道家とも交流が深い。元は人間であったはずのその肉体は、今は霊鳥ハンガルダと一体になっており、周囲に舞い散る羽根はかつての名残を示す。膂力は故郷でも並ぶものなく、かつて竜を素手で締め落としたとさえ噂される。ノリのいい、茶目っ気のある性格で、生徒たちからも慕われているが、怒ると非常に怖い。渋谷区・代神山学園のとある教職員を終生のライバルとして意識している。

Avarga, meaning Titan, is not actually his name, but a title indicating his rank. Long ago, he fought under the direct command of his ruler in the army of Xanadu, although his actions during the inter-world war with the Land of Wa are a source of enduring regret. He once slew a great dragon with the aid of the divine Khangarid, and its power remains with him still: not only in the Rule of his Battle Garb Sacred Artifact but also in the feathers that flutter about him at all times, shielding him from storms and warding off disaster.
