Memories of a brutal battle on a hidden island paradise. Both wished only for the other to survive. Both vowed to survive together. Understandable, since both had previously experienced being sole survivors. Bound by their Roles and their fates, they believe if they’re together, it will all work out. They share smiles and see that they are on the same page. If that had been the ending they were given, then this was its continuation. Both boys hoped for only one future in which they both survive. With shouts of determination, they seek the route to that survival, taking one step after another, buffeted by the winds of desperation. If the present is a continuation of the past, then the future is but a continuation of the present, and they need only do what they’ve always done: search for the exit of this labyrinth that leads to a future where they both survive.
