Manticore is a Transient from the world of Agisymba, of which not much is yet known. Rumor has it that he is the prince of a clan in ownership of a mine that produces red diamonds, gems of impossible rarity. Befitting of royalty, he has a calm, composed demeanor about him and has the modesty to adapt to the cultures of the lands he travels to. This image is fragile at best, and he can lose himself and show the roughness of raw ore at the slightest provocation. It is because of this irregular behavior, as well as the various creatures recomposed to create his body and mind, that he refers to himself as a monster. Seeking to acquire the Tokyo tradition known as a “heart of peace,” he pursues it through the practice of archery. Though he is strongly influenced by the system of his world, he makes a concerted effort not to speak of it nor of himself. Like the other members of his guild, his Sacred Artifact possesses a powerful range so that it may function in environments where humanity cannot survive. Manticore himself is an invasive species—a life-form that, by all accounts, should not exist in this environment. To hear him describe it, the reason he takes on the guise of a human is that, much like his world’s Representative, he simply loves humanity.

未だ詳細を広く知られていない、異世界アギシュムバからの「転光生」。もっとも希少なレッドダイヤモンドを産出する鉱山の所有部族、その王子とも噂される。普段は落ち着いた雰囲気を漂わせ、外遊先の文化に合わせて振舞おうとする謙虚さを示す。しかし些細なきっかけで我を失い、荒々しい原石のような心がむき出しとなってしまうことがあるようだ。ちぐはぐな言動と、複数の生物が組み替えられた心身の特徴――彼は、そんな自分を「怪物」と呼ぶ。東京に伝わる「和の心」を身に付けたく、弓道部の門を叩いたという。出身世界のシステムの影響を大きく受けており、しかし本人はその事を含め、自分について積極的に語らない。彼の「神器」は同ギルド他メンバーと同様、人類の生存圏外で機能するための射程を有している。「本来、ここが生存圏ではなかったはずの生命」、つまりは外来種。人間のフリをしているのは、故郷の「世界代行者」と同様に、人間が大好きであるからだと語る。

The countless Barbs along his tail, glimmering red like rubies, are Manticore’s Sacred Artifact. Whether fired directly or plucked out and thrown like missiles, their Rule allows them to trigger a violent reaction in whoever they strike, the victim’s emotions exploding into pieces as they lose coherency and break apart. Manticore, however, lacks the mental calm required to strike his targets with any accuracy; the Sacred Artifact moves in concert with his heart, firing Barbs off in every which way all at once, striking the owner as well. A monster like Manticore can exist in human form because of his world of Agisymba’s faith in recomposition. He himself wishes dearly to blend in with humanity, a desire that is crushed each time the monster in him comes out. On the other hand, for Manticore to show his monster to someone means that he wishes to open his heart to them. Rumor has it that one unfortunate soul who drank the tea he made during an attempt to mimic a proper tea ceremony ended up on the ground, convulsing and frothing at the mouth.

尻尾から生え、鉱石のように赤く輝く「無数の棘」の「神器」。直接飛ばす、あるいは引き抜き矢として放ち、刺した対象を激発させる「権能」を持つ。これに刺された生物は整合性を失って分裂し、感情をバラバラに爆発させるという。ただし、狙って命中させられる精神の落ち着きは、今の所持っていない。この「神器」は自身の心の動きにも反応し、本人を巻き込む形で四方八方に棘が飛散する。怪物の彼が人の姿をとっているのは、異世界アギシュムバの組み換えの「信仰」によるもの。人の間に溶け込みたいというマンティコアの願いは、その「怪物」が表に出る度に打ち砕かれる。言い換えれば、彼がその怪物を見せるのは、少なくとも本人が心を開きたい相手という事なのだ。見様見真似の茶道で振る舞った茶を飲んだ者に、泡を吹かせたことがあるらしい。

生長於尾巴、閃耀著如礦石般赤紅光輝的「無數尖刺」的「神器」。其「權能」可使這些尖刺直接發射，或將其拔起作箭矢射出，令被刺中的對象陷入激烈的興奮狀態。被這些尖刺刺中的生物會失去整合性，並導致情感四分五裂，爆發出激烈的情緒。然而，現階段他並未擁有足夠的冷靜心態來精準命中目標。這個「神器」會隨著他內心的波動而反應，甚至會四散飛射，連自身也被波及。本是怪物的他之所以能以人形示人，乃是受到來自異世界阿吉辛巴的「信仰」影響，透過組合改造而來。蠍獅渴望融入人類社會，但每當那隻「怪物」顯露本性時，他的這個願望便會被摧毀。換句話說，當他顯示出怪物的一面時，至少代表著他願意對對方敞開心扉。據說曾經依樣畫葫蘆地學習茶道，結果讓飲下茶的人當場口吐白沫。

从尾巴生出，如矿石般闪耀红色光芒的“无数尖刺”型“神器”。拥有直接发射或拔出当作箭放出的“权能”，能够激发刺中的对象。被刺中的生物会失去完整性，情感四分五裂而后爆发。然而，目前其尚不具备能够冷静瞄准并命中的精神状态。这件“神器”还会对自身的情绪波动产生反应，导致尖刺向四面八方飞散，甚至波及本人。身为怪物，他之所以能保持人类的形态，是受异世界阿吉辛巴的重组“信仰”所影响。蝎尾狮渴望融入人类之中，但每当“怪物”的一面显露时，这一愿望就会被击碎。换句话说，他展示那只怪物，至少代表本人愿意对此人敞开心扉。据说有一次他模仿着茶道的样子为人泡茶，结果却让喝茶的人口吐白沫。
