Guild master of the Asakusa Gurus and a Tokyo native. So impressive is his physique that many yokai and monsters seek to devour him, believing wholeheartedly in the rumor that whoever eats Sanzo will be immortal forevermore. As a student at a school full of roughnecks and hooligans, his impressive appearance and the misconceptions of those around him saw him rise to the very top of the punk food chain despite the fact he was the weakest of them all. Bulging muscles aside, he is unable to strike a soul and has no talent in the art of combat. He laments that everything he does only leads to more misunderstandings and more restrictions on what he can do. Sanzo’s situation has grown so dire that ever since learning he has a child on the way, he’s been carrying around a heartfelt written notice about his wish to quit school. Yet through the halls of Umamichi he still walks, convinced to stick out his education by the impassioned persuasions of his schoolmates. His Scripture holds the power to oppose any Rule that allows its user to perform some action, establishing in its place a Rule that the user can not perform that action. For example, thou shalt not hurt another, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not violate, and so on. Given an act such as “banishment from paradise to the east,” this faith would express it as “journey to paradise in the west.”

浅草ギルド・タオシーズのギルドマスターである現地人。超が付くほどの恵まれた体躯で、多くの妖怪や魔物たちから食われそうになっている。「彼を食った者は不老不死になる」というウワサまで流れているとか。ヤンキー校で周囲の誤解により何故か天辺に立ってしまった、最弱人物。良い体格にも関わらず、ひとを殴れず、ケンカの才能がまったく無い。何かをするたびに誤解が増え、行動の縛りが増えていくことを嘆いている。子供が生まれることになって以来、常に「退学願」を持ち歩いているらしい。しかし、周りの学友たちに説得され支えられて、今も辞めずにいるようだ。彼の教典が帯びる力は、何かが出来るようになる「権能」と反対。「何かが出来ない」ルールを定めるものである。たとえば、誰かを傷つけることができない、盗んではいけない、犯してはならない等。その信仰はまた「楽園からの東への追放」に対する「楽園たる西への旅」を示すもの。

淺草公會「道士」的公會會長，為當地居民。擁有異常優越的軀體，以至於成為眾多妖怪與魔物垂涎的目標，甚至流傳著「食他者將獲得長生不老」的傳聞。在滿是不良少年的學校中，因周圍的誤解而莫名其妙地登上頂點，實際上卻是最弱之人。雖然體格優越，但完全不會打架，甚至連揮拳傷人都做不到。無論做什麼事都容易引發誤解，導致自身的行動越來越受限，讓他為此感到苦惱。自從得知自己即將成為父親後，便隨身攜帶著「退學申請書」。然而，在同學們的勸說與支持下，至今仍未退學。他的經典所承載的力量，與一般能賦予某種能力的「權能」相反，而是制定「無法做到某些事」的規則。例如，不能傷害他人、不能偷竊、不能犯罪等。此外，他的信仰同時象徵著「從樂園被放逐到東方」所對應的「朝向西方樂園的旅程」。

身为浅草公会·道士公会会长的本地人。拥有堪称超规格的魁梧体魄，经常被许多妖怪和魔物盯上，甚至差点被吃掉。据说还流传着“吃了他的家伙能不老不死”的传闻。在一所不良少年聚集的学校里，因为周围的误解，莫名其妙地坐上了老大的位置，实则却是最弱的一个。虽然体格强壮，却从不打人，也完全没有打架才能。只感叹自己每做一件事，误解就会加深，行动的限制也会越来越多。自从得知孩子即将出生，好像就一直随身携带着“退学申请书”。然而，在周围同学的劝说和支持下，似乎至今仍未退学。他的教典所蕴含的力量，与能够做某事的“权能”恰恰相反，是一种“规定某事不能做”的规则。例如，不能伤害他人、不能偷窃、不能犯罪等。其信仰也象征着“前往西方乐园之旅”，是“从乐园被放逐到东方”的一种对应。

Sanzo’s Sacred Artifact is his folded Scripture, which holds the power to forbid that which is written on its pages. Sanzo can, of course, write more within the Scripture’s blank spaces to further increase restrictions in his vicinity. Whosoever breaks the rules, be it himself or someone else, ends up bound by rings of light. The Scripture fundamentally forbids actions that include violence, a restriction that Sanzo’s will cannot effect. The underlying purpose of this Rule is to turn its human practitioner into a buddha rather than a god. Gods are both omnipotent and omniscient, beings to which nothing can be added. A buddha, however, has eliminated desire to become a being from which nothing can be subtracted. And, as the first buddha said, the enlightened procreate in ways unique to themselves. Because Sanzo has already imposed prohibitions upon himself, these cannot be overwritten by others. A certain old teacher in Umamichi who is well-versed in various aspects of prohibition has attracted Sanzo’s attention as a mentor.

折りたたまれた教典の「神器」。そこに書かれたことを禁じる、不犯の力を帯びているという。元々の文面に加え、サンゾウが文字を書き込むことにより、更に縛りが増える。これを無理やり破った者は自他問わず、光の輪によって縛られる。サンゾウはこの「神器」により意図せず、暴力を含む行動を禁じられている。これは本来、人間が「神」ではなく「仏」になるためのルールである。「神」はこれ以上何も足せない全知全能、つまりプラスの極限である。一方、「仏」は煩悩を滅した、これ以上何も引けない、マイナスの極限。そして「仏」は開祖がそうであったと言われるように、他とは異なる生殖を行うという。彼は既に自身に「禁則」を課しているため、他者からのそれにより上書きされない。通っている得真道学園の老師は、いけないことに色々詳しいため、師匠と仰いでいるそうだ。

折疊起來的經書「神器」。其蘊含不犯之力，能夠禁止書寫於其上的一切行為。除了原本的經文內容外，每當三藏親手寫入新的文字，約束便會進一步增強。若有人試圖強行打破規則，無論是自身或他人，都會被光環束縛。由於這件「神器」的影響，三藏被禁止進行各種與暴力相關的行動。這本來是為了讓人類成「佛」，而非成「神」的規則。「神」代表著全知全能，無法再增添任何事物，即為正的極限；「佛」則是滅卻一切煩惱，無法再削去任何事物，即為負的極限。而猶如「佛」的起源一般，他有著與他人不同的繁衍方式。由於三藏已經對自身施加了「禁則」，因此外界的任何禁制無法再對其產生影響。他所就讀的得真道學園裡的老師，在許多他不該涉足的領域都有著深厚知識，因而將對方奉為師父。

折叠教典型“神器”。据说带有一种力量，能够禁止其中所记载的行为，使其无法被触犯。除了原本的文字内容外，三藏还会添加文字，进一步增加约束。如果有人强行违反，则无论是自己还是他人，都会被光之环束缚。因这件“神器”，三藏在无意中受到了禁止，无法施行任何包含暴力的行为。而这原本就是为了人类成为“佛”而非“神”。“神”为全知全能，不需要再增加任何事物，即“正”的极限。另一方面，“佛”则是灭尽烦恼，再无可舍弃之物，是“负”的极限。并且，正如传说中佛祖的起源一般，他有着与众不同的繁衍方式。他已对自己施加了“禁则”，因此外界的规则无法再对其进行额外约束。在其就读的得真道学园中，老师对许多禁忌之事都了如指掌，因而被他尊为师傅。
